The Accidental Prime Minister is a 2019 Indian personal movie coordinated by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and composed by Mayank Tewari, in view of the 2014 diary of a similar name by Sanjaya Baru. It was delivered by the Bohra Brothers under Rudra Generation (UK), in relationship with Jayantilal Gada under the standard of Pen India Restricted. It stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh, the market analyst and lawmaker who filled in as the Leader of India from 2004 to 2014 under the Assembled Dynamic Union. 

The film was discharged on 11 January 2019, and had blended surveys by faultfinders. It earned a moderate opening of ₹3.50 crore in the cinema world on its first day.

Critical response

The film got mixed reviews by critics. Times of India gave the film 3.5 stars out of 5 stating "Bollywood has produced several political dramas that are intense, complex and dark, The Accidental Prime Minister has all of that in measured tones."
Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV gave the film 1.5 stars out of 5, noting that “The Accidental Prime Minister is neither hugely entertaining nor engagingly dramatic.”
